Two vintage flannels meticulously deconstructed and re-pieced together creates a beautiful kimono style bodice with a boat neck from the shirts own button closures. Empire waist gathered with elastic (for comfort and adjustable fit).The skirt is made with 3 tiers. In the back there is a cut out left by the shirts necks, where just under the cuffs create a functional and detailed closure. Hidden within the skirts tiers, where the shirt sleeves have been carefully placed there are also 2 pockets which use the sleeve cuff plackets, for phone or keys. Since each shirt is different the length of each dress/top varies, so it can be worn as top or dress use The edges of the bottom hem are left raw on this garment to enhance its deconstructed nature, while the inside is fully finished.
I take custom orders and requests to see other possible combinations i have in stock ready to be made. I also make this dress with regular men’s shirts as well. Or you can provide your own favorite shirts.
