Who is NEY?

Honor the past.

Do the best with the future.

Ney is Renee Jablonski's alter ego. Each of her garments carries the evidence of her story and the intention of her vision and values.

Her passion for making clothes was born in the outskirts of New York where she grew up. Her grandmother was a second generation Italian immigrant in America who dropped out of school early to work in a textile factory. She is indeed the one who passed on to Renee her knowledge, materials and especially, the patience, which are imbedded in all her creations.

Her logical path led her to study fashion design at The Fashion Institute of Technology, where she had the chance to add technique and practical experience to her grandmother's heritage.

After an intense decade working in the fashion industry, she started feeling far removed from her roots and values.

So the decision was made to reconnect her hands and heart with the passion she had felt as a child, the passion that began her interest in fashion in the first place, the discovery and satisfaction that came with imagining and creating in front of the sewing machine.

This reconciliation came to fruition after settling down in Barcelona, opening a retail space, and starting a career in styling and costume design, finally focusing once again on creativity and experimentation.

Gratefulness and respect for our artistic heritage are the values that define the creative process behind NEY, finding a place or purpose for forgotten and discarded textiles and garments. Each piece carefully deconstructed and meticulously used to recreate truly unique, quality garments made to last and enjoy.

Each piece is created with respect and dignity to people, resources, and the environment.

Ney is the embodiment of this journey of self-discovery, breathing imagination and a story into garments that connect us with the past, remind us to enjoy the present, and look forward to a more sustainable future.
